Tech Links for 1.29.2006

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I’ve been working on a Wordpress Template that I’d like to officially ‘publish’. So that’s why the posts have been few and far between. Until I get the Wordpress theme files finished and ready for a download package, here are today’s tech links:

  1. iCapture “your site through the eyes of Apple’s Safari browser” - A very useful tool for web designers who don’t have access to an Apple machine with the Safari browser so they can double check browser compatibility. The sign up process is free, but you have to provide your email address to get an ‘official registration’ form via email.
  2. Revver - another site devoted to video hosting. I’m not sure what makes this one so much different than YouTube or Google Video, but I definitely like the interface better than YouTube’s. Time will tell if this next iteration in the online video repository arena will prove viable.
  3. Customizing K2: Part 3 - Paul Stamatiou has a few additions and tweaks to the social bookmarking buttons I mentioned earlier. He seems to have been a little more familiar with Wordpress Plug-Ins when he wrote this than I was when I wrote mine.
  4. as days pass by [Kryogenix.org] - Sil’s blog/website that he uses to post about random tech thoughts as well as his own projects which he kindly offers for dowload on his site. I had originally found the site looking for javascript methods of altering the ‘title’ attribute and found his nice titles project.
  5. Video Blogger Plugin for WordPress, aka Vlogger, aka Vlog plugin - A video plug-in for Wordpress that allows you to embed Google videos directly in your posts, along with selecting which thumbnail of video to include.

All of these links were bookmarked via Del.icio.us and have been listed in the sidebar also.
